
Laura García
Laura Garcia has a master in the Kino Eyes film program. She began her film carrer in Carlos Tapia's short film "Satan", selected at La Semaine de la Critique in Cannes 2019. In 2018 she worked on Juan Manuel Sepulveda's "La Sombra del Desierto" documentary winner of the Pitch Du Réel and premiered at Cinema du Réel in Paris.
That same year she also released the short film "Aurora", her directorial debut, that premiered at the Habana Film Festival and was nominated for a Mexican Academy Award. She also produced the music album “Memoria Futuro” by Siddhartha, nominated to a Latin Grammy Award. Her recent production, the short film “Rabbit Hole” was selected in the Baltic Pitch Forum.

Veronica Maciel
Verónica Maciel is a filmmaker and lawyer graduated from the University of Guadalajara with a Law Degree, specializing in intellectual property. Later she completed a Bachelor's Degree in Film Studies at the Mexican Institute of Cinematographic and Humanistic Research in Morelia, Michoacán. As a film director, she seeks to turn art into a form of leadership and social participation, an art form to explore her position in the world as a Mexican, Latina and woman.
She is co-founder of Pagana Films, a production company that seeks to increase female participation in cinema. She was awarded with the 2018 “Premio Michoacano de la juventud” for artistic and cultural merit and in 2020 with the Longhorn Creator Foundation Excellence in Production. She is currently a Fulbright García Robles Grantee studying a MFA in Film Production at the University of Texas, Austin.
